This research was conducted at the Screen House Laboratory of Agrotechnology, Faculty of Agriculture, Musamus University, Merauke in June-September 2018. This study used a factorial randomized block design (RAKF). The first factor is compost and the second factor consists of liquid organic fertilizer. The two factors after being combined obtained 16 treatments which were repeated 3 times to obtain 48 treatment units. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the analysis of the growth variance of celery on the application of a combination dose of liquid organic fertilizer and compost showed no significant effect. At times of hight population numbers, the <br>larvae will eat all the leaves and leave only the bones of the leaves, this will cause severe damage, <br>thereby reducing production yields. The result are quickly seen despite the negative impact, as a <br>result the crops that should be of hight quality and nutrition become contaminated with chemical <br>pesticide residues and are dangerous if consumed. This research was carried out for 3 months, from June to August 2018, in Bokem Village, Merauke District. This study used a randomized block design (RBD) using 2 new rice lines and 2 varieties, namely Mekongga and Inpari 35 varieties. The number of treatments used in this study were 4 treatments with 4 replications. The number of experimental plots is 16 plots. The results showed that 2 new rice lines adapted to the vegetative and generative phases, i.e., line 1 had an effect on plant height (14 and 35 days after planting), number of tillers (14 days after planting and 35 days after planting) and flowering age (65 days after planting), and line 2 had an effect on productive tillers variable (12.9), 1000 grain weight (25.20) and ton/ha (4.60 kg).</em></p> <p><em>&nbsp;</em></p> <p><em>Keywords : Rice line, saline soil, adaptation</em></p> 2023-07-03T04:50:59+00:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://ejournal.unmus.ac.id/index.php/agro/article/view/5378 Adaptation Test of 3 Rice Strains (Oryza Sativa L.) By Using Two Comparison Varieties, Inpari 35 and Mekongga in Salin Land, Bokem Village, Merauke District 2023-07-08T12:10:50+00:00 Frans Hengki Fransheng@gmail.com Jefri Sembiring jsembiring@unmus.ac.id Andri Prasetia andriprasetia@unmus.ac.id Mariana L Resubun mariana.resubun@unmus.ac.id Maya S Rupang rupangmaya20@unmus.ac.id Adrianus Adrianus adrianus@unmus.ac.id <p><em>The purpose of this study was to analyze the adaptation or adaptation of the 3 (three) rice lines tested with 2 (two) control varieties on saline soils in Kampung Bokem.</em> <em>The use of tolerant varieties is one of the most effective ways to exploit the potential of saline soils in an effort to increase national rice production.</em> <em>The area of saline land in Asia is around 21.5 million ha, of which 12 million ha are saline and 9.5 million ha are alkaline.</em> <em>This research was carried out using a randomized block design (RBD), using 5 (five) treatments and repeated 4 times so that 20 experimental units were obtained.</em> <em>Based on the results of the study, there were no strains that died due to salinity stress. From this, it is necessary to test the adaptation of new rice lines on saline soils so that they can provide information about their adaptability from the plant growth process to the level of production.
