Pengembangan studi tentang pemilu dan digitalisasi secara global dan tantangannya di Indonesia: Analisis Bibliometrik
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelusuri pengembangan studi tentang pemilu dan digitalisasi secara global dan tantangannya di Indonesia melalui analisis bibliometrik. Penelitian ini menggunakan data bibliografi dari database Scopus, dengan fokus pada publikasi yang terkait dengan digitalisasi dalam konteks pemilihan umum. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penelitian tentang pemilu dan digitalisasi terus berkembang sejak tahun 1993, terutama di negara- negara maju seperti Inggris, Jerman, dan Amerika Serikat. Namun, penelitian tentang pemilu dan digitalisasi di Indonesia masih terbatas, meskipun ada beberapa publikasi yang relevan. Studi tentang pemilu dan digitalisasi secara global telah menunjukkan bahwa digitalisasi dapat memberikan manfaat bagi proses pemilu, seperti mempercepat penghitungan suara, memudahkan pemilih untuk memperoleh informasi terkait calon dan partai politik, serta meningkatkan partisipasi pemilih. Namun, terdapat juga beberapa tantangan dan risiko yang perlu diwaspadai dalam menerapkan digitalisasi dalam pemilu di Indonesia, seperti kesiapan teknologi dan infrastruktur Internet, keamanan siber, privasi data, dan potensi terjadinya kecurangan pemilu. Hal tersebut sangat membutuhkan respon pemerintah, termasuk penyelenggara pemilu. Itu dapat dilakukan dengan mempersiapkan aspek pendukung secara baik seperti penerapan inovasi teknologi komunikasi, penguatan sistem keamanan data, memperbaiki infrastruktur pendukung, dan penguatan regulasi yang memadai.
