Village administration that does not function optimally remains a major challenge in managing Village Funds in South Papua. Limited administrative capacity of village officials, weak financial management skills, and low public awareness of development objectives have reduced the effectiveness of Village Fund utilization. This community service activity aims to restore village administrative functions by strengthening the capacity of village officials and enhancing community awareness to support independent Village Fund management. The methods employed include community education, training for village officials, and participatory administrative assistance. Activities were conducted through socialization sessions, basic administrative training, assistance in preparing financial and activity reports, and community discussions. The results indicate improved understanding and skills among village officials in managing administrative and financial tasks more systematically and accountably. Furthermore, community members demonstrated increased awareness of the importance of village development planning and their role in supporting development programs. This activity contributes to enhancing community knowledge and strengthening village self-reliance in sustainable Village Fund management.
Syahrabudin Husein EnalaNur Jalal Samuel AtbarMuhammad Novan PrasetyaAntonius Nggewaka

Public service at the village level represents the closest interface between the state and its citizens. The quality of public services largely depends on the performance of village officials as the frontline administrators. However, in many parts of Indonesia, village public services still face challenges related to limited staff capacity, inadequate administrative management, and the absence of clear service standards. Similar conditions were identified in Belbeland Village, where administrative services were not yet optimally organized. This community service program aims to improve the performance of Belbeland Village officials in delivering public services through capacity building, service administration restructuring, and mentoring in adopting basic computer-based services. The methods employed include field studies, counseling and discussions, workshops and training, diffusion of appropriate technology, and mentoring with evaluation. The results indicate improvements in officials’ understanding of public service roles, administrative and filing skills, the availability of service document templates and standard operating procedures, as well as more orderly and efficient service delivery. This program contributes to strengthening village-level public services and supports more effective and responsive local governance.
Frederikus Antonius Mana SyahruddinEdoardus E.
Matara Village, Semangga District, Merauke is one of the villages inhabited by most of the Malind tribe, a native Papuan tribe. This village is not far from Merauke City. This village is located along the Arafuru Sea and the Maro River, making Matara Village have abundant natural potential such as marine products, bananas, and coconuts. The abundance of natural resources is not accompanied by good management. The community experiences the problem of a lack of skills in processing bananas into products of high economic value that can add to the variety of food and be sold. So far, bananas have only been sold whole, so that when they harvest, people suffer losses because the bananas are priced cheaply and are even left to rot on the tree. This community service activity was carried out by Musamus University KKN students with Field Assistant Lecturers to empower women's groups so that they can provide healthy food and increase the economic value of bananas. This activity used interview techniques to find community problems, socialization, and implementation stages through training and mentoring. This activity received an excellent response from the community. The community hopes there will be other training as a forum for developing basic skills in processing natural products and increasing food variety and income.
Prima Lestari SitumorangHermanto TinambunanSyahrabudin Husein Enala
