Author Guidelines
Musamus Journal of Physical Education and Sport (MJPES)
Musamus Journal of Physical Education and Sport (MJPES) accepts three main types of manuscripts: Research Articles, Reports, and Reviews. Each manuscript type has specific requirements regarding scope, structure, length, and content.
Research Articles should present original and significant research findings in the field of physical education and sport. Manuscripts should be approximately 5,000 words, including references, notes, and captions. A Research Article should include an abstract, introduction, main text with clear subheadings, up to six figures or tables, and relevant references.
Reports should present important new research findings with broad relevance. Reports should also be approximately 5,000 words and may include an abstract, introductory paragraph, up to four figures or tables, and around 30 references.
Reviews should discuss recent developments, interdisciplinary issues, and future directions in physical education, sport, and related fields. Review manuscripts should be approximately 3,500 words, including references, notes, and captions. Reviews should include an abstract, introduction, clear subheadings, and a discussion of unresolved issues or future research directions.

About the Journal
Musamus Journal of Physical Education and Sport (MJPES) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Musamus University. The journal is committed to promoting innovation, creativity, and scientific development in physical education, sport education, coaching, and sport science.
MJPES publishes scholarly articles in the areas of physical education, sport coaching, physical activity, sport tourism, sport pedagogy, sport physiology, biomechanics, motor learning and control, sport management, sport medicine, traditional sports, and other related fields.
The journal aims to provide an academic platform for researchers, lecturers, practitioners, and students to publish and disseminate research findings that contribute to the advancement of knowledge in physical education and sport.
Manuscript Preparation Guidelines
Manuscripts submitted to MJPES must meet the following requirements:
- The manuscript must be original and must not have been published elsewhere.
- The manuscript should be written in proper Indonesian or English.
- The manuscript must follow the official MJPES article template.
- The manuscript must be free from plagiarism.
- The main sections should include Introduction, Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, and References.
- The title should be concise, clear, and accurately reflect the content of the manuscript.
- Author names, affiliations, and email addresses should be written clearly below the title.
- The abstract should be written in Indonesian and English, with a maximum of 200 words.
- Keywords should consist of 3–5 relevant terms.
Online Submission Guidelines
Authors are required to submit manuscripts through the MJPES online submission system. The submission process includes the following steps:
- Register as an author through the journal website.
- Log in and select “New Submission.”
- Complete all submission stages: Start, Upload Submission, Enter Metadata, Upload Supplementary Files, and Confirmation.
- Upload the manuscript in Microsoft Word format.
- Complete the author metadata, abstract, keywords, and references.
- Upload any supplementary files if required.
- Review the submission details and click “Finish Submission.”
