Analisis Disiplin Kerja Dalam Meningkatkan Kinerja Petugas Kebersihan Di Universitas Musamus
Abstrak
Work discipline is adherence to written and unwritten regulations as well as applicable norms within an organization to achieve specific objectives. Work discipline is one of the key determinants of an organization's performance. The term "performance" originates from the English phrase job performance, which means work achievement and can also be interpreted as the results achieved in a job. Work discipline and performance are two crucial aspects in determining an organization's productivity and effectiveness.The purpose of this study is to describe work discipline in improving the performance of cleaning staff at Musamus University. The research method used is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques consist of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research results, based on work discipline indicators, indicate that the implementation of sanctions for punctuality has improved employee discipline. However, there are challenges in compliance with dress code regulations and maintenance of facilities and infrastructure.Performance indicators are measured through competence, responsibility, and quality of work results. Although the cleaning staff at Musamus University generally demonstrate good competence, there are some issues related to responsibilities that are not fully met, particularly concerning the unfair workload distribution between employees working inside and outside the buildings.
