Community-based Tourism Policy Strategy
Abstract
Community-based tourism policy is an approach that seeks to maximize the utilization of natural and cultural resources in a region while minimizing harm to the environment. It aims to involve local communities as key participants in the development of tourism destinations. The research method employed for this study is a qualitative descriptive analysis, which involves discussing and explaining the current situation and issues. The community-based tourism policy strategy serves as a solution to optimize tourism potential and empower local communities in tourism planning, management, and development. This policy formulation encompasses capacity building for the community, development of local tourism products, community involvement in promotion and marketing, collaboration with stakeholders, and safeguarding natural and cultural resources. By implementing this strategy, the goal is to establish sustainable tourism, enhance community well-being, preserve natural and cultural heritage, and foster fair, inclusive, and sustainable tourism development.
