Pemahaman dan Penerapan Inklusi Sosial dalam Pelayanan Publik di Tingkat Desa
Abstract
Inclusion, defined as acknowledging and respecting diversity and differences, is one of the public service principles that must be implemented. This research aims to determine the knowledge and practices of public service providers at the village level regarding social inclusion in public services. Information on social inclusion in public services was gathered for this study through structured interviews with a total of twenty public service providers at the Pacitan Regency, Central Java, Widoro village office. The study's findings demonstrate that public service providers are aware of the necessity of providing services to the public without regard to the status or condition of those receiving them. They can clarify that it is a violation of service recipients' rights to withhold services from impoverished individuals, individuals with disabilities, immigrants, and other groups. Community service is service to everyone, without exception. On the other hand, it is not simple to incorporate social inclusion into the regular delivery of public services. Since the implementation of our services depends on the status of the people receiving them—be they family members, employees, members of the community, or someone with influence—the implementers occasionally run into difficulties.
