Abstrak

Ngepung Village is one of the villages with the highest category of vulnerable to food insecurity in Nganjuk Regency based on data from the Nganjuk Regency Food Security and Fisheries Department. Ngepung Village experiences problems related to access to the macadam road so that it is difficult for the community to access food sources and this village experiences a shortage of clean water when the dry season arrives, while clean water is related to food processing. From the existing problems, food security in Ngepung Village is still lacking, therefore efforts are needed from the village government to improve food security. The purpose of this study was to determine village government governance in improving food security in Ngepung Village based on the Decree of the Minister of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration No. 82 of 2022 concerning guidelines for food security in villages. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method. The results of the study show that the governance of the Ngepung Village government in improving food security in Ngepung Village is in accordance with the Decree of the Village Minister, PDTT No. 82 of 2022 concerning guidelines for food security in villages, but Ngepung Village still does not have a food barn, so development is needed related to the food barn. Then the road access problem is still in the gradual development process and the clean water problem can be resolved if the PAMSIMAS program has begun to be realized by the village government.
