Implementation Analysis of Project-Based Learning (PBL) in Physical Education: A Diagnostic Study
Abstract
Objective. This study was conducted to determine the results of implementing diagnostic assessment through the project-based learning method in the PJOK (Physical Education, Sports, and Health) subject.
Materials and methods. The research method used in this study is an experimental method with a posttest-only design. The population and sample in this study are female 10th-grade students of MA Nuuru Zamzam. The test instrument used in this study is a non-test instrument with a diagnostic assessment rubric.
Results. The results of this study indicate that in the volleyball material, the project assessment scored 92, the product assessment scored 83, and the practical assessment scored 70. In the hurdle running material, the project assessment received a score of 92, the product assessment 87, and the practical assessment 79. Meanwhile, in the rhythmic movement material, the project assessment scored 85, the product assessment 83, and the practical assessment 84. The normality test results showed a significance value (sig) greater than 0.05, indicating that the data are normally distributed. Furthermore, the ANOVA test results revealed a significance value less than 0.05, suggesting the presence of significant differences. Therefore, a follow-up Post Hoc Test was conducted to identify the differences between each dependent group. Based on the results of this test, it can be concluded that there are significant differences among the dependent groups in this study.
Conclusion. Based on the data collected in the field by the researcher over 12 meetings, in which the researcher provided a learning treatment using the project-based learning method to the 10th-grade students of MA Nuuru Zamzam, a conclusion was drawn from the analysis of the obtained data. The findings indicate that diagnostic assessment can be effectively implemented through the project-based learning method in the Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) subject at MA Nuuru Zamzam.
