Abstract

The research aims to identify role of physical education lessons in motivating and promoting volunteer work among middle school students from the students' perspective in some schools in Maysan Governorate. The research hypotheses there are differences indication Statistics comparing physical education classes with volunteer work. The study addressed field research procedures, where the researcher used descriptive method as it was the most suitable approach for research problem. Sample consisted of a portion of original research population, namely intermediate schools for girls in Maysan Governorate. The sample comprised (5) schools. The researcher used SPSS statistical package to process raw data of the research sample. Included presenting, analyzing, and discussing results. After completing research procedures, the researcher proceeded to statistically process results and then discussed them. Conclusions included the most important conclusions and recommendations, establishing a significant correlation between physical education lessons and volunteer work. Recommendations included  Physical education teachers should emphasize teamwork and volunteerism among students to build a generation that is cooperative, cohesive, and a partner in development and building of the nation.
