Analysis of the Physical Condition of Muay Thai Athletes at Jaguar Camp Tebing Tinggi in 2026

Abstract

Objectives:
The aim of the study is to determine the physical condition capabilities of each Muay Thai athlete at Jaguar Camp Tebing Tinggi.

Materials and Methods:
This study employs a quantitative descriptive research approach, which is primarily intended to provide information regarding the status of existing phenomena.

The results regarding the test instruments indicate the following: for strength, the push-up test showed 11 athletes (58%) in the Moderate category, and the sit-up test showed 8 athletes (40%) in the Moderate category. Regarding the 30-meter sprint, 8 athletes (40%) fell into the Moderate category. For leg muscle strength, 12 athletes (60%) were in the Moderate category, while the balance test showed 7 athletes (35%) falling into the Good and Poor categories.

Conclusions:
Overall, the results of the physical condition survey of Jaguar Camp Tebing Tinggi Muay Thai athletes fell into the Moderate category, comprising 9 athletes (45%). The remaining athletes were distributed as follows: Excellent (2 athletes or 10%), Good (3 athletes or 15%), Poor (6 athletes or 30%), and Very Poor (0 athletes or 0%).
